Bishopstowe - Est 1855

Bishopstowe is situated on the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

The area was established in 1855 by Bishop Colenso and his famliy. The homestead and mission, which they occupied at Bishopstowe and Ekukhanyeni until 1910, is an historical site of major local and national significance.

Bishopstowe Country Club

The Bishopstowe Country Club, previously known as the Bishopstowe Hall, is situated in the B section of Bishopstowe. This venue is used for various community activities, it also serves as the home of the Polocrosse Club, Badminton Club and a library.

Events

Bishopstowe Library

Our library offers a wide variety of books, which are updated & replaced with new literature on a regular basis. Community members and members of the surrounding communities are welcome to join the library club and use this facility.
